Food Shopping and Take-Out Food During COVID-19

Food shop as infrequently as possible. Once every 2-4 weeks.

Shop when store is least crowded. Wear protective masks and keep your distance.

Do not use home delivery services. These workers spend a lot of time in the store, so you are getting more potential exposure from them.

Use disposable paper or plastic bags.

Buy mostly non-perishables in cans or boxes.

Frozen food is bad. The virus can live in the freezer for years.

Take-Out Food- Hot is good, cold is bad.

Microwave food until hot.

Pizza is always a wonderful choice! You get them when they are very HOT!!! Buy a few pies, freeze and enjoy later.

Practice good hygiene. Do not touch your face. Wash your hands before and after entering your home.
